Glasgow Church of Christ is a non-denominational Jesus focussed Bible-believing fellowship. We express our love for God, His word, each other, and all those in our community and beyond through our practical commitment to the teachings of the Bible, which we use to live out our faith on earth. As a group dedicated to sharing our faith within the community and reaching others for Christ, we consider ourselves to be a restoration movement.

As a church we are very diverse yet close-knit, with families, students and singles from all walks of life and we affiliate with ICC Missions family of churches in the UK and worldwide we affiliate with the International Churches of Christ.

St Mungo has had an effect on Glasgow that has lasted even as Glasgow has grown and progressed, and we still think as a church that Scotstounhill can not just thrive through the preaching of God’s word but in applying the Scriptures to our lives and sharing this with the wider world around us. We believe our faith is displayed in our deeds and actions and our objective is to share the love of God to others and to help others understand the purpose and dream God has for them.

Repentance – Realising the power of the Gospel and its power to transform our mindset and thus transform and alter us, assisting us to heal from our sin at the same time, becoming more of whom we were implied to be in the first place.

Baptism – How we receive the Holy Spirit as a gift, which empowers us to live a renewed life as we are forgiven of our sins and devoid of what entangles us from living a life to the full.

The Holy Spirit – How the Holy Spirit runs in a Christian’s life and how we enable him to continue working in us as we imitate Jesus’ love, service, and sacrifice.

The Church – Understanding your location in God’s plan and the actual meaning of “church,” not as a building or cathedral, but as a family of followers devoted to loving, serving, forgiving, encouraging, laying down our lives, and sharing our hearts and assets with one another.

We are a diverse church with members ranging from 14 years old as committed baptised disciples to 80 years and over. We live and gain from one another because we regard church to be like family, both in committing to and obeying the Scriptures and in following Jesus, learning each day to become more like him in his ideas, deeds, choices, love, and grace. Regardless of age, we believe we are to serve one another as Jesus served others and minister to each other through discipling relationships. We see from Scriptures that Christianity very much is a “one-another” religion, sharing a common faith and common love for God and each other.

To meet the requirements of every member of our congregation, our Scotstounhill church offers a variety of ministries, consisting of a marital relationship ministry, student ministry, children’s ministry, women’s and men’s ministry, children’s ministry, teenager ministry, and singles ministry. We have activities tailored at each of these specific ministries, including marital retreats and events, team camps, teaching and training for children’s ministry, activities for singles, and activities to match the requirements of the students. We gain from one another and from those who have come prior to us because you will eventually or another find yourself serving in at least one of these ministries. Our various ministries are also focused on connecting to the community as we wish to bring hope to others and sharing the fantastic healing there is to be discovered when you really follow the Bible.
