Glasgow Church of Christ is a non-denominational, Jesus focussed fellowship that maintains the teachings of the Bible. We share a dedication to living out our faith on earth by utilising implementing the teachings of the Bible to practically express our love for God’s word, each other, and all those in our community and beyond. We see ourselves as a restoration movement, devoted to spreading the word of Christ within the community, and sharing our faith with others.

As a church we are very diverse yet close-knit, with families, students and singles from all walks of life and we affiliate with ICC Missions family of churches in the UK and worldwide we affiliate with the International Churches of Christ.

The legacy of St. Mungo in Glasgow has expanded and altered throughout time. The teaching of God’s word and the application of the Scriptures to our lives, we believe can still be utilised to make sure that Bearsden continues to succeed. By showing our faith to others through our deeds and actions, we aim to help others to find the plan that God has for them, and share his love with as many people as possible.

As a congregation, we rely on God’s capability to transform us in work, relationships, and our family lives by embracing our desire to accept His forgiveness.

Discipleship – How our mission is to satisfy Jesus’ objective for us by assisting others in growing, preparing them to follow him, and training them to do the very same.

Sin/conviction – Acknowledging and accepting the fact of the issues we deal with that keep us from God, how they affect our objectives, dreams, and relationships.

The Cross – Understanding Jesus’ sacrifice, the ultimate act of grace and love, his death, burial and resurrection and how it fixes our issue with our sin that separates us from him.

Repentance – By making us aware of the power the Gospel has and the power we need to change our mindset, the Gospel helps us in conquering our sin and becoming more of who we are meant to be.

Baptism – How we receive the Holy Spirit as a gift, which empowers us to live a renewed life as we are forgiven of our sins and free from what entangles us from living a life to the full.

The Holy Spirit – How the Holy Spirit operates in a Christian’s life and how we enable him to continue operating in us as we mimic Jesus’ love, service, and sacrifice.

The Church – Understanding your purpose in God’s plan and the true meaning of “church”, not as a building or cathedral, but as a family of believers, dedicated to love, serve, forgive, encourage, lay down our lives and share our hearts and ownerships with one another.

As Christians we believe Christianity is for everyone regardless of age, social status, education, cultural background and heritage. We are a diverse church with members varying from 14 years old as dedicated baptised disciples to 80 years and over. As we regard church to be like family, we live and learn from one another, both in dedicating to and following the Scriptures and in following Jesus, learning each day to end up being more like him in his ideas, actions, choices, love, and grace. Despite age, we believe we are to serve one another as Jesus served others and minister to each other through discipling relationships. We see from Scriptures that Christianity very much is a “one-another” religion, sharing a common faith and common love for God and each other.

Our Bearsden based church offers a range of ministries to meet the needs of every member of our congregation, including marriage ministry, student ministry, kids’s ministry, women’s and men’s ministry, teen ministry, and singles ministry. We hold activities for those particular ministries, consisting of marital retreats and events, teen camps, teaching and training for kids’s ministry, singles events, and events concentrated on fulfilling the needs of students.
