Kilbarchan Church | Find a Christian Fellowship Near You

Glasgow Church of Christ is a non-denominational Bible-believing Jesus focussed fellowship. We share a dedication to living out our faith on earth by utilising implementing the teachings of the Bible to practically express our love for God’s word, each other, and all those in our neighbourhood and beyond. We see ourselves as a restoration movement, dedicated to spreading the word of Christ within the community, and sharing our faith with others.

With families, students, and singles from all walks of life, our church is incredibly varied but also very close-knit. In the UK, we are affiliated with the ICC Missions family of churches, and worldwide with the International Churches of Christ.

St Mungo’s legacy in Glasgow is one that has grown and developed throughout the years. As a church, we believe that Kilbarchan can still grow through the preaching of God’s word and the application of the Scriptures in our everyday lives. By showing our faith to others through our deeds and actions, we aim to help others to find the plan that God has for them, and share his love with as many people as possible.

As a congregation we believe in welcoming the forgiveness of God and in His power to change us in our every day life, in our relationships and in our family.

Learn How to Study The Bible In Kilbarchan

Studying the Bible on your own, especially if you are new to it, can seem overwhelming. However, learning to actually understand the Scriptures is like with any other relationship; it takes some time and effort and genuine engagement. In order to help you check out the Bible we have produced a series of topical Bible-studies that covers topics like:

Faith – What is faith, how is it defined in the Bible, how does it operate in my life, how does it affect my options and how does it link me to God?

Seeking God – How do I pursue a relationship with him, why should I, and what does that even suggest?

The Word of God – How the Bible is the divine authority of God and how can we use it in our daily lives? This will help us live lives of integrity, purpose, and wish for the future.

Jesus – His identity, His character, His love, His conviction, His mission and His sacrifice. How he lived, his focus, his vision, his heart, how he overcame temptations, hurt, ridicule, betrayal, worry, anguish. How he provides the hope all of us need so desperately.

Discipleship – How, in addition to being called to baptise, we are also to assist others in growing, preparing them to follow Jesus and understanding the objective He has for us.

Sin/conviction – Understanding and accepting the truth of our difficulties that keep us from God, in addition to how it affects our objectives, dreams, and relationships.

The Cross – Understanding how Jesus’ sacrifice– the ultimate act of grace and love– his death, burial, and resurrection resolve the issue of our sin that keeps us from God.

Repentance – By making us familiar with the power the Gospel has and the power we need to change our mentality, the Gospel helps us in conquering our sin and becoming more of who we are planned to be.

Baptism – How we receive the Holy Spirit as a gift, which gives us the ability to live a renewed life while being absolved of our sins and liberated from anything prevents us from living a life to the full.

The Holy Spirit – How the Holy Spirit runs in a Christian’s life and how we permit him to continue working in us as we imitate Jesus’ love, service, and sacrifice.

The Church – Understanding your place in God’s plan and the real significance of “church,” not as a building or cathedral, but as a family of followers committed to loving, serving, forgiving, motivating, laying down our lives, and sharing our hearts and assets with one another.

Kilbarchan Family Friendly Church for All Ages

No matter your age, social status, education, cultural background and heritage, we believe that Christianity is for everybody. We are a diverse church with members varying in age from 14 to dedicated baptised disciples over the age of 80. As we regard church to be like family, we live and learn from one another, both in devoting to and complying with the Scriptures and in following Jesus, learning every day to end up being more like him in his concepts, actions, choices, love, and grace. No matter age, we believe we are to serve one another as Jesus served others and minister to each other through discipling relationships. We see from Scriptures that Christianity very much is a “one-another” religion, sharing a common faith and common love for God and each other.

Glasgow Church Family and Ministries

Our Kilbarchan based church provides a range of ministries to fulfil the requirements of every member of our congregation, including marriage ministry, student ministry, kids’s ministry, women’s and men’s ministry, teenager ministry, and singles ministry. At one point or another you will find yourself remaining in at least one of these ministries, and through a lifetime the majority of them, so we draw lessons from one another and from those who have walked prior to us. Connecting to the neighbourhood is a key element of all of our programs since we want to share the amazing healing that can be found when you sincerely follow the Bible with others and provide hope.
