Bonhill Church | Find a Christian Fellowship Near You

Glasgow Church of Christ is a non-denominational, Jesus focussed fellowship that supports the teachings of the Bible. We share a dedication to living out our faith in the world by using executing the teachings of the Bible to practically express our love for God’s word, each other, and all those in our community and beyond.

As a church we are very diverse yet close-knit, with families, students and singles from all walks of life and we affiliate with ICC Missions family of churches in the UK and worldwide we affiliate with the International Churches of Christ.

St Mungo has had an influence on Glasgow that has lasted even as Glasgow has grown and evolved, and we still believe as a church that Bonhill can not just flourish through the preaching of God’s word but in applying the Scriptures to our lives and sharing this with the larger world around us. By demonstrating our faith to others through our deeds and actions, we aim to assist others to discover the plan that God has for them, and share his love with as many people as possible.

As a congregation, we rely on God’s ability to transform us in work, relationships, and our family lives by embracing our willingness to accept His forgiveness.

Bonhill Bible Study Groups

Have you ever studied the Scriptures searching for God’s plan for salvation? Have you ever felt it too frustrating to understand? Do you wish to know if He actually has a plan for you, and if so, what it might be? Do you want to know what vision God has for you and for the world in general? The Bible is not only a practical guide to living life as God meant, but a love letter, exposing his heart to us, his dreams and desires for us as people. It gives us a guide to living life through Him, showing us the experiences of people going through much of the exact same struggling and challenges that we do.

We invite you to contact us, or go to a Sunday service, to learn more about the Bible and how to participate in Bible studies. Our Bible studies cover a wide range of topical topics, with materials based upon the inquiries and requires you have. We also have Bible-discussions or life-talks on occasion in our various church family groups throughout Bonhill with styles based upon common topics and/or events from worldwide. Repentance – Assisting us to heal from our sin and becoming more of who we are indicated to be by understanding the power the Gospel has and the power we have to transform our state of mind.

Baptism – How we receive the Holy Spirit as a gift, which empowers us to live a renewed life as we are forgiven of our sins and devoid of what entangles us from living a life to the full.

The Holy Spirit – How the Holy Spirit runs in a Christian’s life and how we allow him to continue operating in us as we imitate Jesus’ love, service, and sacrifice.

The Church – Understanding your place in God’s plan and the actual significance of “church,” not as a building or cathedral, but as a family of believers dedicated to loving, serving, forgiving, encouraging, laying down our lives, and sharing our hearts and possessions with one another.

Bonhill Family Friendly Church for All Ages

No matter your age, social status, education, cultural background and heritage, we believe that Christianity is for everyone. We are a diverse church with members ranging in age from 14 to dedicated baptised disciples over the age of 80. As we consider church to be like family we live and learn from each other, both in committing to and complying with the Scriptures and through following Jesus learning each day to become more like him in his thoughts, actions, choices, love and grace. No matter age, we believe we are to serve one another as Jesus served others and minister to each other through discipling relationships. We see from Scriptures that Christianity very much is a “one-another” religion, sharing a common faith and common love for God and each other.
