Glasgow Church of Christ is a non-denominational Bible-believing Jesus focussed fellowship. We express our love for God, His word, each other, and all those in our community and beyond through our practical commitment to the teachings of the Bible, which we use to live out our faith on earth.

As a church we are very diverse yet close-knit, with families, students and singles from all walks of life and we affiliate with ICC Missions family of churches in the UK and worldwide we affiliate with the International Churches of Christ.

The legacy of St. Mungo in Glasgow has expanded and changed throughout time. The teaching of God’s word and the application of the Scriptures to our daily lives, we believe can still be used to ensure that Drumchapel continues to succeed. By showing our faith to others through our deeds and actions, we aim to assist others to discover the plan that God has for them, and share his love with as many people as possible.

As a congregation, we rely on God’s capability to transform us in work, relationships, and our family lives by accepting our desire to accept His forgiveness.

We meet different spiritual needs in our church, with a large range of activities weekly created to inspire, encourage, and engage. Our weekly services are held in Ibrox in Glasgow on Sundays, where we come together to worship and to be inspired through our sermons, but we also have Bible-discussions, life-talks and devotionals in Cardonald and various other places around the Drumchapel area

As our members of spread commonly throughout Glasgow, we have a number of smaller groups, called family groups, that meet across Greater Glasgow. The choice of weekly activities held at our smaller house churches, are not just aimed at Christians, but also anyone else who is merely curious and fancies coming along. We have Bible studies that are topical and covers a variety of subjects and material based upon your questions and needs. We also have Bible-discussion groups and life talks at our family church groups, based on events and common subjects from across the globe. Our Bible talks occur in private homes, city centre cafés, and on college campuses.

Studying the Bible by yourself, especially if you are new to it, can seem frustrating. However, learning to really understand the Scriptures is like with any other relationship; it requires time and effort and genuine engagement. Faith – What is faith, how is it explained in the Bible, how does it operate in my life, how does it influence my choices, and how does it relate to God?

Seeking God – How do I pursue a relationship with him, why should I, and what does that even mean?

The Word of God – How the Scriptures are the divine authority of God and how we can practically apply them in our lives today, therefore bringing stability, focus and purpose into our lives with a hope that reaches eternity.

Jesus – His identity, His character, His love, His conviction, His mission and His sacrifice. How he lived, his focus, his vision, his heart, how he conquered temptations, hurt, ridicule, betrayal, fear, suffering. How he is the hope we all so frantically need.

Discipleship – How we are not just called to baptise but also to assist individuals grow, training and gearing up others in following Jesus, and fulfilling the dream Jesus has for us.

Sin/conviction – Comprehending and accepting the reality of our issues that separate us from God, how it hurts us and our hopes, dreams and relationships.

The Cross – Having a clear understanding of Jesus’ sacrifice, the height of grace and love, his death, burial, and resurrection, and how it resolves the problem of our sin that keeps us from God.

Repentance – Assisting us to heal from our sin and ending up being more of who we are meant to be by understanding the power the Gospel has and the power we have to transform our mindset.

Baptism – How we receive the Holy Spirit as a gift, which gives us the capability to live a renewed life while being absolved of our sins and freed from anything prevents us from living a life to the full.

No matter your age, social status, education, cultural background and heritage, we believe that Christianity is for everybody. We are a varied church with members varying in age from 14 to devoted baptised disciples over the age of 80. As we regard church to be like family, we live and gain from one another, both in dedicating to and obeying the Scriptures and in following Jesus, learning every day to become more like him in his ideas, actions, choices, love, and grace. No matter age, we believe we are to serve one another as Jesus served others and minister to each other through discipling relationships. We see from Scriptures that Christianity very much is a “one-another” religion, sharing a common faith and common love for God and each other.

Our church in Drumchapel covers numerous ministries in order to support the needs of every member in our congregation such as marriage ministry, student ministry, children’s ministry, women’s and men’s ministry, teenagers ministry and singles ministry. We have events targeted at those particular ministries, such as marriage retreats/events, teen camps, children’s ministry teaching and training, singles events and events targeted at fulfilling the requirements of the students. We learn from one another and from those who have come prior to us since you will at some point or another find yourself serving in a minimum of one of these ministries. Our numerous ministries are also focused on connecting to the community as we want to bring intend to others and sharing the remarkable healing there is to be discovered when you genuinely follow the Bible.

The structure for our church and congregation is the Bible, so even if we are in smaller groups or just a few friends together, our focus is always to remain true to the Word and growing in enthusiasm and hunger for righteousness.
