Glasgow Church of Christ is a non-denominational Bible-believing Jesus focussed fellowship. We are committed to the teachings of the Bible and to live out our faith on this earth expressed practically through our love for God, his Word, each other and people in our neighbourhood and beyond. We see ourselves as a restoration movement, devoted to spreading the word of Christ within the neighbourhood, and sharing our faith with others.

As a church we are very diverse yet close-knit, with families, students and singles from all walks of life and we affiliate with ICC Missions family of churches in the UK and worldwide we affiliate with the International Churches of Christ.

The legacy of St. Mungo in Glasgow has expanded and changed throughout time. The teaching of God’s word and the application of the Scriptures to our lives, we believe can still be used to ensure that Larkhall continues to flourish. By demonstrating our faith to others through our deeds and actions, we aim to assist others to discover the plan that God has for them, and share his love with as many people as possible.

We have numerous activities throughout the week, in order to inspire, motivate and engage everyone, and meet different spiritual needs in the church. Every Sunday, we gather to worship and listen to sermons that inspire us at our weekly services in Ibrox, Glasgow. We also host Bible studies, life-talks, and devotionals in a number of different places throughout Cardonald and Larkhall.

Have you ever studied the Scriptures in search of God’s plan and felt too overwhelmed to comprehend? Do you like to know if He actually has a plan for you, and if so, what it might be? Do you wish to know what vision God has for you and for the world in general? The Bible is a love letter from God, exposing His heart, His dreams, and His desires for us as people and collectively. It is a practical guide to living life as God intended. It has plenty of individuals going through life struggles and challenges just like us, but revealing us how to go through life with Him.

We invite you to contact us, or participate in a Sunday service, to find out more about the Bible and how to participate in Bible studies. We have Bible studies that are topical and covers a range of subjects and material based upon your questions and needs. We also have Bible-discussions or life-talks on occasion in our various church family groups throughout Larkhall with styles based on common subjects and/or events from worldwide. Our Bible-discussions happen in private homes or cafes in city centre and on university campus.

Jesus – His identity, His character, His love, His conviction, His mission and His sacrifice. How he lived, his focus, his vision, his heart, how he conquered temptations, hurt, ridicule, betrayal, worry, distress. How he is the hope we all so desperately require.

Discipleship – How our mission is to satisfy Jesus’ goal for us by helping others in growing, preparing them to follow him, and training them to do the exact same.

Sin/conviction – Recognising and accepting the truth of the concerns we deal with that keep us from God, how they impact our objectives, dreams, and relationships.

The Cross – Knowing how Jesus’ sacrifice– the supreme act of grace and love– his death, burial, and resurrection fix the problem of our sin that keeps us from God.

Repentance – By making us familiar with the power the Gospel has and the power we have to change our mentality, the Gospel helps us in conquering our sin and becoming more of who we are intended to be.

Baptism – How we receive the Holy Spirit as a gift, which offers us the ability to live a renewed life while being absolved of our sins and freed from anything prevents us from living a life to the full.

The Holy Spirit – How we let the Holy Spirit works in our lives by mimicking the love, service, and sacrifice Jesus offered, and how the Holy Spirit works in a Christian’s life.

The Church – Realising your purpose in God’s plan and the true significance of “church”, not as a building or cathedral, but as a family of believers, dedicated to love, serve, forgive, motivate, lay down our lives and share our hearts and ownerships with one another.

As we consider church to be like family we live and learn from each other, both in dedicating to and following the Scriptures and through following Jesus learning each day to become more like him in his ideas, actions, choices, love and grace. Regardless of age, we believe we are to serve one another as Jesus served others and minister to each other through discipling relationships. We see from Scriptures that Christianity very much is a “one-another” religion, sharing a common faith and common love for God and each other.

Glasgow Church Family and Ministries

Our Larkhall based church offers a variety of ministries to meet the needs of every member of our congregation, including marriage ministry, student ministry, kids’s ministry, women’s and men’s ministry, teenager ministry, and singles ministry. We have events targeted at those particular ministries, such as marital relationship retreats/events, teen camps, children’s ministry teaching and training, singles events and events focused on satisfying the needs of the students. At one point or another you will find yourself remaining in at least one of these ministries, and through a lifetime most of them, so we draw lessons from one another and from those who have walked before us. Reaching out to the neighbourhood is a key element of all of our programs since we want to share the incredible recovery that can be found when you sincerely follow the Bible with others and give them hope.

The structure for our church and congregation is the Bible, so even if we remain in smaller groups or just a couple of friends together, our focus is always to stay real to the Word and growing in passion and hunger for righteousness.
