Glasgow Church of Christ is a non-denominational Bible-believing Jesus focussed fellowship. We are committed to the teachings of the Bible and to live out our faith on this earth expressed practically through our love for God, his Word, each other and individuals in our neighbourhood and beyond. We see ourselves as a restoration movement, devoted to spreading the word of Christ within the neighbourhood, and sharing our faith with others.

Our church is incredibly diverse, including those from all walks of life consisting of families, students, singles, and many more. We affiliate with ICC Missions family of churches in the UK and the International Churches of Christ worldwide.

St Mungo’s legacy in Glasgow is one that has grown and progressed throughout the years. As a church, we believe that Newlands can still flourish through the preaching of God’s word and the application of the Scriptures in our everyday lives. Our goal has always been to spread God’s love to others, and by showing our faith through deeds and actions, we aim to assist others to discover the purpose and dream that God has for them.

We satisfy different spiritual needs in our church, with a large range of activities each week developed to inspire, encourage, and engage. Every Sunday, we collect to worship and listen to preachings that inspire us at our weekly services in Ibrox, Glasgow. Newlands Bible Study Groups

Have you ever studied the Scriptures in search of God’s plan and felt too overwhelmed to comprehend? Do you want to discover if God genuinely has a plan for you, and the world in general, and what that plan might be? The Bible holds these answers and more, providing us with a practical guide to live life through God. It is a love letter from God, exposing his heart to us and expression his dreams and desires for us as people. Our Bible studies cover a wide variety of topical subjects, with materials based on the queries and needs you have. We also hold different Bible-discussions and life talks at our different family church groups throughout Newlands, with the topics gone over based on events and popular subjects from around the world. Our Bible-discussions occur in private homes or coffee shops in city centre and on university campus.

Jesus – His identity, His character, His love, His conviction, His mission and His sacrifice. How he lived, his focus, his vision, his heart, how he conquered temptations, hurt, ridicule, betrayal, worry, distress. How he provides the hope we all require so frantically.

Discipleship – How, in addition to being called to baptise, we are also to assist others in growing, preparing them to follow Jesus and understanding the objective He has for us.

Sin/conviction – Acknowledging and embracing the fact of the concerns we face that keep us from God, how they affect our goals, dreams, and relationships.

The Cross – Understanding Jesus’ sacrifice, the ultimate act of grace and love, his death, burial and resurrection and how it solves our problem with our sin that separates us from him.

Repentance – Helping us to heal from our sin and ending up being more of who we are indicated to be by understanding the power the Gospel has and the power we need to transform our mindset.

Baptism – How we receive the Holy Spirit as a gift, which provides us the ability to live a renewed life while being absolved of our sins and freed from anything impedes us from living a life to the full.

To meet the requirements of every member of our congregation, our Newlands church offers a variety of ministries, consisting of a marital relationship ministry, student ministry, kids’s ministry, women’s and men’s ministry, kids’s ministry, teen ministry, and singles ministry. We hold activities for those particular ministries, including marital retreats and events, teen camps, teaching and training for kids’s ministry, singles events, and events focused on satisfying the needs of students. We gain from one another and from those who have come before us because you will eventually or another find yourself serving in a minimum of one of these ministries. Our numerous ministries are also focused on connecting to the community as we want to bring intend to others and sharing the amazing recovery there is to be found when you genuinely follow the Bible.
