Glasgow Church of Christ is a non-denominational Jesus focussed Bible-believing fellowship. We are committed to the teachings of the Bible and to live out our faith on this earth expressed practically through our love for God, his Word, each other and individuals in our neighbourhood and beyond. We consider ourselves to be a restoration movement, which is shown in how we are dedicated to reaching out within our community and sharing our faith, so as to reach others for Christ.

Our church is incredibly diverse, encompassing those from all walks of life consisting of families, students, singles, and many more. We affiliate with ICC Missions family of churches in the UK and the International Churches of Christ worldwide.

St Mungo’s legacy in Glasgow is one that has grown and developed for many years. As a church, we believe that Glenboig can still grow through the preaching of God’s word and the application of the Scriptures in our daily lives. We believe our faith is shown in our deeds and actions and our objective is to share the love of God to others and to help others realise the purpose and dream God has for them.

As a congregation, we believe in God’s forgiveness and in His ability to change all elements of our everyday lives, relationships, and family life.

Learn How to Study The Bible In Glenboig

It may feel intimidating to study the Bible alone, particularly if you are new to it. But much like any other relationship, devoted participation and effort are needed to be able to genuinely understand the Scriptures. In order to help you check out the Bible we have created a series of topical Bible-studies that covers subjects like:

Faith – How is faith defined in the Bible, how does it work in my life, how does it influence my decisions, and how does it connect to my relationship with God?

Seeking God – How do I pursue a relationship with him, why should I, and what does that even imply?

The Word of God – How the Bible is the divine authority of God and how we may use it in our lives to bring integrity, concentration, and purpose into our lives with an eternal hope.

Jesus – His identity, His character, His love, His conviction, His mission and His sacrifice. How he lived, his focus, his vision, his heart, how he got rid of temptations, hurt, ridicule, betrayal, fear, suffering. How he supplies the hope all of us require so frantically.

Discipleship – How, in addition to being called to baptise, we are also to assist others in growing, preparing them to follow Jesus and understanding the objective He has for us.

Sin/conviction – Understanding and accepting the truth of our problems that separate us from God, how it harms us and our hopes, dreams and relationships.

The Cross – Understanding Jesus’ sacrifice, the ultimate act of grace and love, his death, burial and resurrection and how it fixes our issue with our sin that separates us from him.

Repentance – By making us knowledgeable about the power the Gospel has and the power we have to change our mentality, the Gospel assists us in overcoming our sin and becoming more of who we are planned to be.

Baptism – How we receive the Holy Spirit as a gift, which empowers us to live a renewed life as we are forgiven of our sins and free from what entangles us from living a life to the full.

The Holy Spirit – How we let the Holy Spirit works in our lives by mimicking the love, service, and sacrifice Jesus gave, and how the Holy Spirit works in a Christian’s life.

The Church – Understanding your location in God’s plan and the actual significance of “church,” not as a building or cathedral, but as a family of believers committed to loving, serving, forgiving, motivating, laying down our lives, and sharing our hearts and possessions with one another.

Glenboig Family Friendly Church for All Ages

As we consider church to be like family we live and gain from each other, both in devoting to and obeying the Scriptures and through following Jesus learning each day to end up being more like him in his thoughts, actions, options, love and grace. Regardless of age, we believe we are to serve one another as Jesus served others and minister to each other through discipling relationships. We see from Scriptures that Christianity very much is a “one-another” religion, sharing a common faith and common love for God and each other.
