These studies are just a guide; we will take into account the requirements of those we are trying to help in Glenboig based on their religious and social backgrounds. We regularly get together in smaller groups for shared support, motivation, direction, training, and assistance. In these groups, we also hold Bible or life conversations that are modelled after the discussion groups that Paul established in Ephesus (Acts 19:9 -10). These discussions are engaging and an outstanding setting for group argument of God’s Word and its practical application.

Learn more about The Life Of Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He lived among us as a man, before being killed unjustly. Our mission is to help you construct your own conviction and respect for the life of Jesus and get insight into his sovereignty and importance. To help you obtain a firm grasp of who Jesus was and how he lived, we have produced a bible study exclusively on Jesus.

We believe that Jesus came to make the Father known and his heart, life and purpose are maybe best summarised from John 1:14 & John 1:17, which describe him as “full of grace and truth” and that he “brought grace and truth”. This is the essence of who he was and what he did.

Find Out How To Become A Christian In Glenboig

Being a Christian today can appear a bit complicated; even more complicated is finding out how to become one. There are many churches that will invite you in without teaching you what discipleship really means and what God’s expectations are. We believe that being a Christian is the same as being a disciple as shown by the Scriptures, and as disciples study the Bible, the Holy Spirit convicts us concerning righteousness (John 16:8). As Jesus came to save us from our sin, it just makes good sense to become his disciple and follow him. Being a disciple means doing so on His terms, however, and these terms are revealed most clearly in the Holy Bible.

Glenboig Alpha Course Alternative

As disciples we are called to share the good news to others. After all, why wouldn’t you if you believe it is the truth! 1 Peter 3:15 tells us to always be prepared to provide an answer to anyone for the hope we have in Him. We have therefore developed a Bible study series of topical studies presented to guide the student in their own discovery of the Word, which we call “Guard the Gospel. We hope you discover these resources beneficial in your personal faith journey as you study God’s word and construct your own beliefs and convictions.

The topics we cover are:

Seeking God – Discover how to pursue a relationship with God by developing a hunter’s heart, through prayer and bible verse study.

Jesus – who is He, what life did He live, why did He come? How is it appropriate to me today?

The Word of God – How the Bible is the ultimate authority and standard for our lives. The Word study will help you develop that both the old testament and the new testament is tantamount to the breath of God.

Discipleship – What a Christian is from the Bible, and how the only proper response to Jesus’ death on our behalf should be to follow God through following His Son. Anything less cheapens the sacrifice He produced us.

Sin – Understanding how God sees us; separated from him because of our sin. Also understanding sin’s repercussions. Only if we really view and repent of sin, can we get grace.

The Cross – The present of grace and the price of grace. Our role in Jesus’ death on the cross; and how the cross is what offers us hope once we understand our need for grace.

Repentance – What biblical repentance actually means as derived from Greek “metanoia”, implying modification in state of mind; how to embrace it and see it as one of the most positive words in the bible.

Baptism – How the connection in between Christ’s death and the redemption of our sins is developed by baptism. Christ’s death on the cross results in our forgiveness, but this takes place at the point of baptism. Taking part in Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection through baptism.

The Church – God’s vision for his church, how we as followers of Christ relate to one another as his new holy neighborhood. Being his family is being a part of a group of disciples who share our commitment to him, accepting duty for one another, and supporting one another in keeping a strong relationship with God. We are a spiritual temple for God, not a physical one.

The Holy Spirit – Sustained by the Holy Spirit after baptism, He will help us cling to our confession right to the end.

These are just a few of the studies we can supply; the list is by no means complete, and we can offer in-depth bible study on any particular topics you would have an interest in finding out more about. You might wish to talk about a particular word, essential verses, or other parts of the Bible with us. Regardless, we wish to meet you and share the good news and follow the example of Jesus in his love, life and service for others.
