We all have different backgrounds and experiences and need to study the Bible for ourselves to determine our interpretation of God’s word, the call to salvation and improvement via his word and the holy spirit.

We have developed a study series to help direct those of you in Bothwell who are looking for answers in the Bible. These studies are not exhaustive, but a guide, and we will consider the requirements of whomever we are attempting to help in Bothwell depending on religious and individual background. We do not believe “one size fits all”, but we do believe there is value in understanding the basic significance of what it means to be a true disciple and follower of Jesus, and how we can apply that to our lives. This study will help you understand who Jesus was and how he lived.

We believe that Jesus came to make the Father known and his heart, life and purpose are maybe best summed up from John 1:14 & John 1:17, which describe him as “full of grace and truth” and that he “brought grace and truth”. This is the essence of who he was and what he did.

The Church – God’s vision for his church, how we as followers of Christ connect to one another as his new holy community. It has to do with becoming his family, being supported by a group of disciples who share our devotion to him, accepting obligation for one another, and assisting one another in preserving a close relationship with God considering that we are a spiritual, not a physical, temple for him.

The Holy Spirit – After baptism, the Holy Spirit will sustain us and help us remain true to our confession to the end.

You may wish to talk about a particular word, crucial verses, or other parts of the Bible with us.
