We often gather in smaller groups to support, uplift, inform, empower, and lead one another. In these groups we also have Bible conversations or life talks, motivated by how Paul had discussion groups in Ephesus (Acts 19:9 -10). These discussions are interesting and a fantastic location to come together and talk about God’s Word and its individual application.

During these discussions we grow near God by sharing insights from Scripture and our own experiences. The conversation topics are quite diverse and as they are broad conversations about life, they may include things like communication, conflict resolution, what makes you happy, hope, traditions, and so on. Find out about The Life Of Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He lived among us as a man, before being killed unjustly. To gain a solid understanding of who Jesus was and how he lived we have developed a bible study specifically about Jesus in order to help you establish your own conviction and appreciation for the life of Jesus and get insight into his sovereignty and significance.

We believe that Jesus came to make the Father known and his heart, life and purpose are possibly best summarised from John 1:14 & John 1:17, which explain him as “full of grace and truth” and that he “brought grace and truth”. This is the essence of who he was and what he did.

Learn How To Become A Christian In Anderston

Being a Christian in the contemporary can be confusing, and exercising how to become one is even more so. Many churches will extend an invitation to you without explaining what true discipleship involves or what God’s requirements are. We think that being a Christian is the same as being a disciple, and that when disciples read the Bible, the Holy Spirit convicts us worrying righteousness (John 16:8). As Jesus came to save us from our sin, it just makes good sense to become his disciple and follow him. This, however, can only be on His terms as set out in the Holy Bible.

As disciples we are called to share the good news to others. After all, why wouldn’t you if you believe it is the truth! 1 Peter 3:15 tells us to always be prepared to offer an answer to anyone for the hope we have in Him. We have for that reason developed a Bible study series of topical studies provided to direct the student in their own discovery of the Word, which we call “Guard the Gospel. We hope you discover these resources useful in your personal faith journey as you study God’s word and develop your own beliefs and convictions.

The subjects we cover are:

Seeking God – Through prayer and bible verse study, establish a candidate’s heart to learn how to pursue a relationship with God.

Jesus – What sort of life did He lead? Why was He here? How does it apply to me now?

The Word of God – How the Bible should be our ultimate source of guidance and moral guidance. The word study will help you in demonstrating that the example in between the ancient and new testaments and the breath of God is accurate.

Discipleship – What a Christian is according to the Bible, and how complying with God by following His Son is the only suitable reaction to Jesus’ dying on our behalf. Anything less reduces the rate He paid to save us.

Sin – Understanding how God sees us; separated from him because of our sin. Also understanding sin’s consequences. We can just get grace if we really perceive and repent of sin.

The Cross – The gift of grace and the cost of grace. Our role in Jesus’ death on the cross; and how the cross is what provides us hope once we understand our need for grace.

Repentance – What scriptural repentance really means as originated from Greek “metanoia”, indicating modification in state of mind; how to accept it and see it as one of the most positive words in the bible.

Baptism – How baptism develops the link in between Christ’s sacrifice and forgiveness of our sins. We are forgiven by the sacrifice of Christ, but this occurs at the point of baptism. Baptism is the involvement in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.

The Church – God’s vision for his church, how we as followers of Christ associate with one another as his new holy community. It has to do with being his family, being participated in by a team of like-minded disciples in our devotion for him, taking duty for one another, helping each other stay close to God as we are a spiritual temple for God, not a physical one.

The Holy Spirit – Sustained by the Holy Spirit after baptism, He will help us hang on to our confession right to the end.

This list is not exhaustive, these are just a few of the studies we can supply. We can also offer extensive bible study on any particular subjects you might have an interest in finding out more about. You may want to talk about a particular word, important verses, or other parts of the Bible with us. Regardless, we want to meet you and share the good news and follow the example of Jesus in his love, life and service for others.
