Discipleship – What a Christian is according to the Bible, and how following God by following His Son is the only appropriate reaction to Jesus’ dying on our behalf. Anything less lessens the cost He paid to save us.

Sin – Understanding how God sees us; separated from him because of our sin. Also understanding sin’s effects. We can only receive grace if we really view and repent of sin.

The Cross – The gift of grace and the price of grace. Our role in Jesus’ death on the cross; and how the cross is what offers us hope once we understand our requirement for grace.

Repentance – What scriptural repentance really means as originated from Greek “metanoia”, implying modification in mindset; how to embrace it and see it as one of the most positive words in the bible.

Baptism – How the connection between Christ’s death and the redemption of our sins is established by baptism. Christ’s death on the cross results in our forgiveness, but this takes place at the point of baptism. Taking part in Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection through baptism.

The Church – God’s vision for his church, how we as followers of Christ relate to one another as his new holy community. It is about becoming his family, being supported by a group of disciples who share our devotion to him, accepting duty for one another, and helping one another in preserving a close relationship with God because we are a spiritual, not a physical, temple for him.

The Holy Spirit – After our baptism, the Holy Spirit will continue to support us and help us stick to our confession until the very end.
