When God’s Word Brings Us To Our Knees – Sunday Service (29th March 2026)

This week, Chris C will be sharing the sermon “When God’s Word Brings Us To Our Knees”, looking at how Ezra the teacher of the Law and Nehemiah the prophet and governor of Jerusalem led the people in unity to commit their lives to following God in radical prayer and confession of their sins, leading them as a people to be closer to God than at any time in their history.

Simon Phillips and Shona Tootill of our Glasgow Church worship team will lead us in worship, and Adam Birr will share the communion message as we come to the foot of the cross of Christ and take communion together.

Join us this Sunday as we gather together in worship, prayer and fellowship. In 2026 our theme is “Walking Each Other Home”, exploring how we can help, strengthen and encourage one another on our walk with God. Through the ups and downs, the highs and lows of life, we walk this path together with God, through our saviour Jesus and guided by the Holy Spirit, toward our goal of taking hold of our prize of eternal life in Heaven. How can we help each other on this journey?

All are welcome to join us in person or online. We look forward to seeing you there.

Nehemiah 9:1-5 – The Israelites Confess Their Sins

1 On the twenty-fourth day of the same month, the Israelites gathered together, fasting and wearing sackcloth and putting dust on their heads. 2 Those of Israelite descent had separated themselves from all foreigners. They stood in their places and confessed their sins and the sins of their ancestors.

3 They stood where they were and read from the Book of the Law of the Lord their God for a quarter of the day, and spent another quarter in confession and in worshiping the Lord their God. 4 Standing on the stairs of the Levites were Jeshua, Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani and Kenani. They cried out with loud voices to the Lord their God.

5 And the Levites—Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah and Pethahiah—said: “Stand up and praise the Lord your God, who is from everlasting to everlasting
“Blessed be your glorious name, and may it be exalted above all blessing and praise.
