This Sunday, Mike Jarvis will deliver a powerful sermon exploring what happens “When God Means Business” through passages in Acts 5:1-16, Acts 19:11-20, and 2 Corinthians 1:3-7. As part of our 2025 focus on the Miracles of the Bible, we’ll examine how God’s mighty works reveal His love while strengthening our faith and drawing us closer to Him.
Simon Phillips will share the communion message as we gather at the foot of the cross of Christ. This meaningful time of remembrance invites us to reflect on Christ’s sacrifice and the miracle of salvation that transforms our lives.
The service begins at 10:30 am, with tea, coffee, and fellowship afterwards until 12:30 pm. Everyone is welcome to join us, either in person or online.
You’re welcome to attend in person at our Clyde Community Centre location or join us online from the comfort of your home. Whether you’re a regular member, returning after some time away, or visiting for the first time, we look forward to sharing this special time with you.

Acts 5:12-16 – The Apostles Heal Many
12 The apostles performed many signs and wonders among the people. And all the believers used to meet together in Solomon’s Colonnade. 13 No one else dared join them, even though they were highly regarded by the people. 14 Nevertheless, more and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number. 15 As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by. 16 Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by impure spirits, and all of them were healed.
Acts 19:11-16
11 God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, 12 so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them.
13 Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, “In the name of the Jesus whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.” 14 Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. 15 One day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?” 16 Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding.
2 Corinthians 1:3-7 – Praise to the God of All Comfort
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 5 For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. 6 If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. 7 And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.
