Message Summary & Reflection
In Mark 2 we learn about a paralytic man and the tax collector who left his life to follow Jesus.
What can we learn today from these two events in Jesus’s life? Chris in his sermon explores this. He challenges us not to look at Jesus as a great physical healer but as the healer of our souls. We make presumptions about Jesus and have expectations of him just as the people of his day did. That may cloud our judgement on who Jesus is and affect our priorities in living our Christian life.
Are we able to see past what he can do for us and instead think about what we can do for him? Taking massive steps of faith is not sustainable but when we take small steps of obedience, we will see not only the transforming power of Jesus we see the proof that he is who he says he is…. The Son of God.
This sermon really helped me reflect on my presumptions I make about Jesus and how that affects the priorities in my Christian life. It helps me evaluate how by simple, small steps of obedience gives me proof of God’s amazing power can transform my life.
Are you ready to find out how God really works in your life? Tune into the sermon for further help and guidance.
