This week Adam Birr shares a message with us titled “Jesus Is Better Than Moses” from Hebrews 3, as we carry on in our “Renewal” sermon series. Join us for our Sunday service as we celebrate, worship, and take communion together.
Worship is led by Andy Torbet & Katie Torbet
Message Summary & Reflection
Today we’ll be looking at Hebrews chapter 3. We learn in chapter 2 that God is merciful and faithful, that He breaks the power of death and relates to us. This knowledge sets us up for chapter 3’s start: “Therefore”….
Because Jesus can relate, because Jesus understands the struggles of the heart, we are encouraged to fix our thoughts on Him. We are in the world, but not of the world.
As Christians we “share in the heavenly calling”. How much do you think about heaven? What heavenly values do you bring on earth?
We can control very few things in life, but one thing we can control, are our thoughts. We need to think well. Where is Jesus in your thoughts? Ps 1 :1-3 teaches us that whatever you do, when you do it for God, with God and because of God you’ll overcome.
We are so blessed in having the whole Bible. Everything that Moses taught pointed to Jesus. We get to fix our thoughts on Him. What will you chose to focus on? Rest in the peace of God’s presence, hold on to the hope God offers you in Jesus.
