Message Summary & Reflection
It has always been my ambition (Romans 15:20)
Apostle Paul is so consumed with love for his fellow countrymen and for the lost in general, that despite all is former skills and knowledge as a Jew he declared that it had always been his ambition to preach the gospel.
What strikes me is that this ambition never seemed to waver throughout his life, even when faced with challenges. I find that my ambition wavers depending on what is happening and I have to stop and remind myself of how God’s love has transformed me.
Secondly, I don’t always see my church as a mission field – this is probably because we become too familiar with church life over time. It is so encouraging when we see new people in the church and it reminds us that church is meant to be an encouragement for disciples but also a place of spiritual reconciliation for those outside the Kingdom of God.
This is an upward call for all Christians everywhere to remember that the world is lost and all it takes is us reaching out to others, one by one.
