God Proved His Resurrection
There is much evidence outside the Bible that shows the resurrection of Jesus Christ was an event that actually happened. These proofs help us to have faith in God and believe that He truly exists.
The sermon looks at the impact of that miraculous event which happened just short of 2000 year ago and looks at how this event changed rules, hearts, and the world forever, and even today it continues to change these things. Is the crucifixion of Jesus in vain? Have we understood the incredible impact it should be having on our lives?
Firstly, we learn about events that happened at the time of Jesus’s death that changed the Jewish customs on how they worshipped God. The message of the cross is an offensive one, but it needed to be to get our attention and be reconciled to him. Are you willing to come into the light?
The second aspect was that his death changed hearts. Joseph of Arimathea was one such person who radically changed because of Jesus’s death. Jesus’s closest disciples changed forever after his death, so much so they were willing to die to show that they did witness the resurrection of Christ. The speaker asks, “What is your response to the death of Jesus, has it changed your heart?”
And finally, the resurrection changed the world. Is it changing your life?
