“Do You Want To Get Well?” is the title of this week’s sermon as we hear a message from Adam Birr. Join us for our Sunday service as we celebrate, worship, take communion together.
Worship is lead by Scott & Rachelle Galloway and featuring worship teams from various sister churches.
Message Summary & Reflection
If Jesus came to me and asked me directly “Do you want to get healed?”, what would I answer him? On the one hand, I would like to say that “of course I want to be healed”, but on the other hand, there’s more thought coming out deeply from my heart. For example, “I’ve tried many times, but everything came back to “normal” again and again”.
I really enjoyed Adam’s preach today and the video, it looked/sounded like that Jesus walked to me and told me that he cares more about my heart, my spirit, and my eternal life in heaven rather than the daily routine/trouble.
When the physical sermon services and fellowship were removed during the pandemic isolation period, it’s becoming a real trial to test my real commitment and submission to God. And it’s also a good reminder to me that a Christian’s life is to follow Jesus rather than any specific person or building.
By the way, it’s interesting that Adam pointed out that all the patients, blind or lame persons healed by Jesus died eventually. This reminds me that no matter how many troubles I’m facing or achievements I’ve done is nothing a big deal, Jesus cares more about my spirit and immortality in heaven so that he would simply ask us “stop sinning”. And I’ll keep this in my prayer in the following weeks.
